About Us
The Department of Sanskrit was established in 1973 with its head Dr. Achuta Nand Tiwari. The Department is constantly working to upgrade the knowledge of the students both in Sanskrit language and literature, which forms the basis to understand science, arts literature, philosophy and spirituality of ancient India thereby making use of it in the present time. Furthermore Department embodies a mission to encourage the usage of Sanskrit Language, Literature and researches in the various fields as well as in the comparative study of the scientific thought prevailing in different Sanskrit text.
