1. The process of admission in Under graduate (UG) and Post graduate (PG) courses begins in the first week of May every year.
2. The number of seats for admission to all courses is determined by the Dr. R M. L. Avadh University, Ayodhya.
3. Admission process in Faculty of Education (B.Ed./M.Ed. Courses), Faculty of Physical Education (B.P.Ed. Course) and Faculty of Law (LL.B. Three year Courses) is based on the entrance examination organized by the Kamla Nehru Institute of Physical and Social Sciences, Sultanpur U.P.
4. For admission Ph.D. Courses, eligible student has to clear pre-Ph.D. entrance test and interview conducted by Kamla Nehru Institute of Physical and Social Sciences, Sultanpur U.P. .  (Link)

Mandatory Qualification for Admission :-

1. For admission to Graduate level (U.G. Level) the student must have passed Intermediate of equivalent examination in 2016 or later.

Minimum educational qualification is as follows:

Criteria for subject selection :

1. Environmental study is compulsory subject at UG Level for all groups. Though marks obtained in this paper is not used to decide the pass-out division of the student, yet it is compulsory to obtain minimum passing marks in this paper.
2. In First year, all the papers are compulsory in Commerce, Agriculture and Home Science Faculty. Optional paper is selected separately in 2nd and 3rd year of the course.
3. For Science Faculty, the following subject combination are allowed:
4. Maths, Physics, Chemistry.
5. Maths, Physics, Electronics.
6. Botany, Zoology, Chemistry.
7. Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology.
8. Botany, Zoology, Microbiology.
9. Botany, Zoology, Environmental Science.
10. Botany / Zoology, Environmental Science, Chemistry.
11. Zoology, Microbiology, Chemistry.
12. Dr. R. M. L. Avadh University, Ayodhya has classified all subjects of Arts into three groups. Students are required to select maximum two subjects from anyone group; as such total three subjects:
13. Geography, Psychology.
14. Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit.
15. Education, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Medieval History.

Note- Only those students can select Geography who have passed intermediate examination with any one of the subjects i.e. Geography/Agriculture/Science.

1. Apart from three subjects at U.G. Level student can do a Career Oriented Diploma and/or Add-on Certificate Course in one of the diploma/course from the available list. Link

1. Admission in the Institute would be held on the basis of merit of total marks obtained in the eligible examination.
2. List of the selected students for admission would be displayed on the Notice Board of the office of the Institute and website- www.knipss.ac.in.
3. Selected candidates would get admission on the given date and they are required to bring the following documents-
4. Original T.C. & C.C. from where the last examination passed.
5. Original documents of all the passed examinations for verification and their photocopies.
6. Three (03) passport size coloured photos (Only studio and Lab print photos acceptable).
7. Caste-certificate and Income-certificate having six months (06) validity, issued by the eligible and competent authority/authorized gazetted officer.
8. Weightage-based admission will require original Weightage-certificates for verification and their photocopies for submission, respectively.
9. Selected candidates will have to deposit admission fee on the fee counter of the Institute within the stipulated time. In case admission fee is not deposited by the candidate within the stipulated time, thereafter his candidature would be automatically cancelled and the next candidate in the merit list will be considered for admission.
10. Admission fee once deposited will not be returned back. However, fee can be transferred under specific conditions/permission provided the student is willing to take admission in some other degree course of the Institute. 
11. Reservation and Weightage would be applicable for admission according to the guidelines of U.P. Govt./University.

Attendance and Discipline:

1. Students are required to consult the respective Faculty In-charge or Chief Proctor, if there is any problem related with discipline. 
2. For students, 75% attendance is must according to University Rules, otherwise they are not allowed to appear in the University Examination.
3. Admission can be revoked by the Principal if a student is absent for or more than 15 days.
4. If a student gets admission on the basis of False/Fake Documents, their admission shall be revoked with legal provisions.
5. It is expected from each student to maintain discipline in the Institute as well as in the class room. Any student found involved in indiscipline shall be punished.
6. Caution money will be returned to the students after completing his/her course or leaving the Institute. After one year of leaving the Institute, the claim for caution money will be discarded.
7. Once admitted students are required to keep their I’d Card along with them in the Institute. This I’d must be dully sighed by the Proctor office. Handing over the an I’d to any other students or its misuse is not permissible.
8. In Institute regular students have to wear the prescribed uniform:

For Female Student : Kurta with Sky Blue Check, White Shalwar and White Dupatta or any Blue Plain Saree and Blouse.
For Male Student: Pants and White Shirt.
Students of B.Ed., M.Ed., B.P.Ed., Law, B.B.A. and Agriculture have to wear uniform as prescribed by their Faculty.

1. Students have to keep their vehicles in the Vehicle Stand only.
2. Ragging is a punishable offence and strictly prohibited in the Institute. Students found involved in ragging will be handed over (given) to police after filing F.I.R. Students are advised to keep themselves away from it. Institute has an Anti-ragging Committee, Proctorial Board and a vigilance team, who pays close and continuous attention to student activities and ensures Ragging free environment in the Institute.
