Quality assurance has been a challenge before higher educational Institutions of India. Being a premier Institute of the Avadh region (Eastern U.P.), there is a great responsibility on us to create a system that commits to bring benefits of education to society and nation. The Kamla Nehru Institute of Physical & Social Sciences, Sultanpur had established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 31st March 2007 as a step towards holistic academic excellence. As an integral part of the Institute, IQAC works to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of Institute involving all the stakeholders i.e., students, parents, teachers, staff, management, funding agencies and society in general in the quality enhancement process. Organizing various programs for faculty, administrative staff and IQAC members has been one of the regular features of the IQAC. It provides an open forum for interaction between students and staff members of the Institute. In the light of UGC/NAAC guidelines, IQAC has built a sustainable quality bench mark for various academic and administrative activities in the Institute. The feedback collected from various stakeholders by IQAC, provides the opportunities for quality sustenance and improvement in teaching, learning, evaluation and research in the Institute. Self annual appraisal of faculties and staff members helps in planning for better performance in the successive year. The physical and academic infrastructure resources makes better environment for teaching, learning and research. The IQAC has a continuous monitoring and follow-up system to assure adequate, appropriate and better facilities within the Institute. Through all these measures IQAC proves itself to be a vital component of the Institute which ensures quality in overall system of the Institute along with continuous improvement.
