About Us
The Department of Environment Sciences in Kamla Nehru Institute of Physical and Social Sciences NAAC-A, Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh recognized on 1st August, 2003 with vision of, “Save Environment, Save Humanity, Save the Planet Earth”.
We are offering seven major programmes for the students of Under-graduation and Post-graduation under NEP.

Under Graduation (B.Sc.) (3 year Six Semester along with ZBC)
Post Graduation (M.Sc.) (2-year Four Semester)
Add-on programme of ISRO/ IIRS- EDUSAT and NASA (Only for M.Sc. Environmental Sciences).
Dissertation (Only for M.Sc. Environmental Sciences)
Summer Training (For M.Sc. Environmental Sciences)
Industrial Visit (M.Sc. All Semester Environmental Sciences)
Research Publications (For M.Sc. Final Semester Environmental Sciences)
Educational Tour (Only for M.Sc. in all Semester)

An eligibility criterion for admission in M.Sc. Environmental Sciences is graduation with any branches or combination of life sciences such as, zoology, botany, chemistry, microbiology, biotechnology, agriculture and Btech (any branch)। The Department holds Six Patent (National and International), seven fellowships including Six DST-INSPIRE and twenty three award of State and National level with thirty nine research papers published in recognized journals on current environmental issues by students and faculties.
As subject “Environment Sciences” covers all life-sciences streams with total applied, job oriented and professional course. The Environmental Sciences as subject is for the students of potential ability to study explore the nature, cosmos, climate change, global warming, pollutant, pollution, natural disasters etc., and along with understanding problems and finding most probable solutions at global level.
The departmental curriculum is highly upgraded and enriched with UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, GATE, ASRB-NET, ICMR-NET, WII-NET covering entire syllabus like, Environmental Ecology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Laws, Environmental Geo-sciences, Planetary Sciences, Environmental Auditing, Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Environmental Remote Sensing, Environmental Microbiology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Environmental Chemistry, Climatology and Environmental Toxicology. We have rich departmental library and laboratories. The department celebrates global events like World Environment Day, Ozone day, Wildlife week, International Wetland day, Water day, Earth day and International Biodiversity day and Environmental awareness programs at district and state level every year with various national and international organizations.
The department organizes regular seminars during every weekend for students of Post-graduation and /Educational tour in every semester. Students of post-graduation are highly encouraged to participate and present research papers in National and International seminars along with the courses duration.
For the training and placements of post-graduate students department signed MoU’s and collaborated with several leading national organization on providing large opportunities in Environmental Impact Assessment, Industrial Health and Safety, Environmental Management Programme, entrepreneurship and job opportunities. Our students are frequently opting M.Tech programs in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Remote Sensing at various institutes.
The Department with record placement students are building career in organizations like, CPCB, UPCB, NEERI, IIRS, NABARD, NHAI, O.N.G.C., Mother-dairy, NGO, UP Police, Brewage Industries, Sugar Industries, L & T, Tata Consultancies and working in various fields of environment such as EIA and Environmental monitoring. Students regularly participated in the extra-curricular and social awareness programmes by debate, quiz, sports and cultural activities organized by the organization and department. Educational tour and our green campus visits help students to interact with environment practically and theoretically..
