About Us
Kamla Nehru Institute of Physical and Social Sciences, Sultanpur introduced the Department of Law in 1973 as a pioneer Institute to impart the legal education. It intends to cherish the promotion of Justice oriented society for the upliftment of socio-legal status of the rural people. It is one of most prestigious Institutions of Law. This is the most significant and outstanding contribution of the Founder Babu Kedar Nath Singh to rural people of Eastern Uttar Pradesh for the upliftment of their socio-legal status. The Department of Law always endeavours to inspire the students to equip with the deep knowledge of Laws by lighting the lamps in the rural area to generate the legal education. 
The Department of law runs the classes in eco-friendly natural atmosphere. It has an excellent Library with Text books Reference book, leading National & International Journals & Computers Lab with Internet facilities along with the various news papers. The Department provides free legal aid to the poor and needy people.
The founding Head of the Department, Dr. R. B. Srivastava & succeeding HODs Sri Yaswant Singh, Dr Surendra Kumar Singh nurtured the Department. Mr.  Bindeshwari Prasad Singh is pioneering the Faculty with full dedication and also presiding the post of Dean Faculty of Law Dr. R. M. L. Avadh University, Ayodhya. The Department imparts the education with the help of well qualified and experienced teachers. The Department organizes Seminars and Guest Lectures on the current issues.
Many Students have been selected in various competitive exams i.e.  PCS, PCS-J, HJS, Law officers and Assistant Professor in several organized sectors and a number of students have got University Gold Medals.
